Facilitation
"To jaw-jaw, is better than to war-war" Churchill
With several years’ experience of legal practice, international relations and strategic development, Mary Sharpe is available to facilitate brainstorming workshops and symposia and mediate in-house disputes. She draws upon her experience of modern languages and cross-cultural thinking styles to take the time necessary to gain a better understanding of the issues involved and thereby promote progress in any conflict or contentious negotiation.
Conflict can have many benefits which skillfully handled can develop trust and loyalty within an organisation. For example, disagreement and conflict over plans and goals may expose weaknesses in processes and value systems and so lead to their eventual eradication. Consequently conflict, properly managed, may lead to positive organisational change. By resolving issues before positions become too entrenched you can avoid the pain and expense of an industrial tribunal, loss of key staff and an unhealthy working atmosphere in general.
